ORDINANCE NO. 001439

Authorizing the Mayor to accept a $130,000.00 Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Pilot Grant to provide additional funding for the Interagency Personnel Assignment for the Kansas City Brownfields Initiative; estimating revenue and appropriating $130,000.00 to reflect that funding; and designating requisitioning authority for the account.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to accept a $130,000.00 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Pilot Grant for the purpose of providing additional funding for the Interagency Personnel Assignment for the Kansas City Brownfields Initiative.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby re-estimated in the following amount:

01-100-055-7634 Brownfields IPA Grant $130,000.00

Section 3. That the sum of $130,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:

01-100-055-2073-B Brownfields IPA Grant $130,000.00

Section 4. That the Director of Housing and Community Development is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for the herein described funds and account, and is hereby authorized to execute the EPA Amended Agreement with the U.S. EPA to administer the Brownfields Grant

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
