Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by
adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0132, rezoning an area of
approximately 10 acres generally bounded by Indiana Avenue on the west, 23rd
Street on the south and Interstate 70 on the north and east, from District URD
(Urban Redevelopment District) to District M-1 (Light Industry). (11745-P-7)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of
Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as
Section 80-11A0132, rezoning an area of approximately 10 acres generally
bounded by Indiana Avenue on the west, 23rd Street on the south and Interstate
70 on the north and east, from District URD (Urban Redevelopment District) to
District M-1 (Light Industry), said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0132. That an area
legally described as:
All Lots 1-26 (and the
west 1/2 of vacated Bales Avenue lying east adjacent), William A. Tidballs 1st
Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and
unplatted parcels bound by Indiana Avenue, 22nd Street, Bales Avenue and the
south line of Amelia Place, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, and all Lots 5-12, Amelia Place, a subdivision in Kansas City,
Jackson County, Missouri, and all Lots 2-11 except portion in 21st Street right
of way, Max Isaacs 1st Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, and unplatted parcels bound by Indiana Avenue, the north line of Max
Isaacs 1st Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri,
Bales Avenue and the south line of W. C. Seachrist 1st Addition, a subdivision
in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all Lots 1-12, W. C. Seachrist
1st Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all
Lots 1-14, Lot 31 and that portion of Lot 33 lying west of a line from a point
on the north line of said lot 110 feet west of the northeast corner to a point
on the south line of said lot 60 feet west of the southeast corner, Indiana
Place, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all Lots
1-11, Indiana Avenue Subdivision, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri.
is hereby rezoned from District URD (Urban
Redevelopment District) to District M-1 (Light Industry), all as shown outlined
on a map marked Section 80-11A0132, which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning
maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11
thereof.
Section B. That the Council finds
and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment
hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance
have been given and had.
