ORDINANCE NO. 960648

Authorizing execution of an agreement with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $75,000.00 to provide for business marketing services.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of Kansas City, Missouri, an agreement with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, in the amount of $75,000.00, to provide for business marketing services through the Kansas City Area Development Council of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. A copy of said agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $75,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 97-100-064-2090-B for work described in the aforesaid agreement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
