COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 980400

 

Amending Article VIII of the Administrative Code of Kansas City, Missouri, relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, by repealing Sections 2-1075, 2-1076, 2-1077, 2-1078, 2-1079, 2-1080, and 2-1081, and enacting in lieu thereof new sections of like numbers, relating to the same general subject matter; and providing for employee salary increases.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Article VIII of the Administrative Code of Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby amended by repealing Sections 2-1075, 2-1076, 2-1077, 2-1078, 2-1079, 2-1080, and 2-1081, relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, and in lieu thereof the following sections are hereby enacted:

Section 2-1081. Salary schedule for elective positions in the City service.

 

The following schedule for elective positions in the City service is hereby adopted as the standard annual salary schedule for the following positions in the City service as set out herein below:

Section 2. That upon the attainment of at least a satisfactory general employee performance report, all employees in the classified service and administrative secretary classifications, not at the maximum of their assigned ranges on April 25, 1998, will receive a 5% wage increase within their range on their pay anniversary date.

 

Section 3. That upon the attainment of at least a satisfactory general performance report, all employees in the classified service and administrative secretary classifications, at the maximum of their assigned range on April 25, 1998, will receive a 2% wage increase on November 1, 1998.

 

Section 4. That any prior wage increases received as a result of any across the board increases do not affect an employees pay anniversary date.

 

Section 5. That this ordinance will become effective April 26, 1998, as of 7:01 a.m., for all affected classes.
