ORDINANCE NO. 020582

Authorizing a one year $250,000.00 agreement with the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled to provide shared funding for transporting Kansas City, Missouri residents to and from day programs or sheltered workshops.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled for the period of May 1, 2002 through April 30, 2003, in the amount of $250,000.00 from funds appropriated in the 2002-2003 Budget, Account No. 03-208-069-2120-F, to provide shared funding for transporting the Boards clients who are Kansas City, Missouri residents to and from day programs or sheltered workshops. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
