RESOLUTION NO. 990318

 

Honoring Douglas B. Johnson for his outstanding service to Kansas City and the Aviation Department.

 

WHEREAS, Douglas B. Johnson was named Assistant Director of Aviation for Planning and Engineering on March 7, 1994; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has been an outstanding employee of Kansas City, Missouri for the past five years; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has directed the expansion, maintenance, rehabilitation and construction of facilities at Kansas City International Airport, including rehabilitation of two of the Airports three runways and the construction of the Terminal C parking structure; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has directed planning, maintenance and improvements of facilities at Kansas City Downtown Airport; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has actively participated in the planning and maintenance at Richards-Gebaur Memorial Airport; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson has exhibited a high level of dedication and faithful service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby express to Mr. Douglas B. Johnson, their heartiest best wishes together with their most sincere appreciation for his dedicated and outstanding service to the citizens of Kansas City; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Douglas Johnson in token of the respect and genuine gratitude of the Mayor and Council for his outstanding service to the City.
