ORDINANCE NO. 130093

 

Approving the sale of property at 7205 N.W. Prairie View Road, Platte Woods, Missouri; authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a deed; and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance with the Recorder of Deeds for Platte County, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 120196 passed March 8, 2012, declared 7205 N.W. Prairie View Road in excess to the City’s needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bid; and

 

WHEREAS, through that competitive bid process, the City received a bid of $40,000.00; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid for said property in the total amount of $40,000.00, approves the sale of the property and authorizes the Director of General Services to execute a Special Warranty Deed conveying the property. The legal description of the property is described as:

 

TRACT 1: A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 51 North, Range 33 West, in Platte Woods, Platte County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said section, township and range; thence North 89 degrees 10 minutes 44 seconds West along the south line of said Quarter Section, 685.04 feet to a point of intersection with the centerline of N.W. Prairie View Road (formerly old 71 Highway); thence departing said Quarter Section line, North 34 degrees 22 minutes 14 seconds West along the centerline of N.W. Prairie View Road, 379.34 feet; thence departing said centerline, North 55 degrees 37 minutes 46 seconds East, 60.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing North 55 degrees 37 minutes 46 seconds East, 207.80 feet to a point on the westerly subdivision line of Lot 10, Block E, Platte Woods; thence South 34 degrees 22 minutes 14 seconds East along said line, 40.00 feet; thence continuing along said line, South 80 degrees 15 minutes 46 seconds East, 39.48 feet to a point on the westerly right-of-way line of Missouri Interstate 29; thence departing said lot line and said right-of-way line, South 30 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, 229.27 feet to a point on the proposed northerly right-of-way line of N.W. 72nd Street; thence North 89 degrees 43 minutes 42 seconds West along said line, 35.78 feet to a point on the proposed easterly right-of-way line of N.W. Prairie View Road; thence departing said northerly line, North 34 degrees 22 minutes 14 seconds West along said proposed easterly line, 146.31 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 27,281.2 square feet or 0.626 acres, more or less.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County at Kansas City, Missouri, as evidence of the sale of the herein described property by the City.
