ORDINANCE NO. 951330

 

Authorizing an amendment with Aviation Systems Maintenance, Inc. (ASMI) at Richards-Gebaur Memorial Airport; the expenditure of additional funds in the amount of $131,920.00; and declaring an emergency.

 

WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that this ordinance will authorize an amendment to effect the repair of the Instrument Landing System at Richards-Gebaur Memorial Airport necessary for the immediate preservation of public safety within the meaning of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Instrument Landing System Maintenance Agreement at Richards-Gebaur Memorial Airport with ASMI. A copy of the amendment is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to expend $131,920.00 for work to be performed under the aforesaid agreement, from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 96-821-062-7607-T.

 

Section 3. This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of public safety, is declared to be an emergency under the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
