ORDINANCE NO. 951210

 

Authorizing an annual contract with A.T. Abatement Services, Inc., for removal and repair of asbestos at various City-owned facilities; and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend up to the amount of $75,000.00 in previously appropriated funds therefor.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the work of providing asbestos removal, disposal and repair at various City-owned facilities for the period beginning with the date stated in the official Notice to Proceed through April 30, 1996, with a one year renewal option, is hereby provided for and authorized.

 

Section 2. That the work shall be done in accordance with the specifications and the contract therefore between Kansas City, through its Director of Public Works, and A.T. Abatement Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00, which contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend a sum not to exceed $75,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 96-100-089-7720-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid annual contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
