ORDINANCE NO. 021083

Authorizing an amendment to the agreement with the Kansas City Free Health Clinic in the amount of $51,684.00 for a total agreement amount of $146,180.00 that provides HIV counseling and testing and HIV prevention services and extends the length of the agreement.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That an amendment to an agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, acting through its officers of executory authority, whereby Kansas City Free Health Clinic agrees to provide HIV counseling and testing and HIV prevention services for the period of January 1, 2001 through April 30, 2002, in the amount of $51,684.00 for a total contract amount of $146,180.00 to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 03-248-050-2419-B and extended from April 30, 2002 through December 31, 2002, is hereby authorized. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
