ORDINANCE NO. 090216

 

Approving recommendations of the Arterial Street Impact Fee Committee; transferring appropriations in the Arterial Street Impact Fee Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

 

WHEREAS, on November 5, 2007, the District G advisory committee recommended allocating funds to the following project for design and construction from the Impact Fee funds collected in the district; and

 

WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee recommended reducing the $400,000.00 allocated to project 89008038 (Red Bridge Road), approved by Ordinance 040978, and returning the $400,000.00 to the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Arterial Street Impact Fee Fund; and

 

WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee recommended allocating $440,000.00 to Project 89004283 (Bannister and Blue Ridge Intersection) to match $440,000.00 in Federal Surface Transportation funds and to complete that project in preparation of the Bannister Mall redevelopment. The allocation of the $440,000.00 is contingent upon the Public Works Department obtaining the remainder of project funds from PIAC or Traffic Signal Safety Improvements; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee recommended allocating $214,748.00 to Project 89008038 (Red Bridge Road); NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the recommendations of the Arterial Street Impact Fee Committee for project allocations in the Impact Fee District G are hereby approved.

 

Section 2. That the sum of $400,000.00 is reduced from the following account in the Arterial Street Impact Fee Fund and returned to the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Arterial Street Impact Fee Fund:

 

09-2430-897626-B Red Bridge Road $400,000.00

 

Section 3. That the sum of $654,748.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Arterial Street Impact Fee Fund to the following accounts in the Arterial Street Impact Fee Fund:

 

09-2430-897626-B Bannister and Blue Ridge Intersection $440,000.00

09-2430-897626-B Red Bridge Road 214,748.00

TOTAL $654,748.00


Section 4. That the Director of Public Works is designated requisitioning authority on Account No. 09-2430-897626.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
