RESOLUTION NO. 070745

Recognizing the retirement of Jennifer L. Arnold.

WHEREAS, Jennifer L. Arnold has announced her retirement from the City of Kansas City, Missouri, effective July 1, 2007, having served twenty years and five months; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, graduated from Central High School and began working towards a Bachelors degree at Rockhurst University; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer married James Arnold and has one son; and

WHEREAS, on December 18, 1986, Jennifer began her long and distinguished career with the Finance Department Accounts Division/Payroll and has spent her entire career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in this department and division; and

WHEREAS, during this time, Jennifer faithfully served the City in ensuring that the City was in legal compliance in relation to garnishments. She has worked on many projects, including, but not limited to, the implementation of payroll to the Legacy and PeopleSoft Systems. Jennifer was also instrumental in the planning and presentation of the Citys Black History programs; NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize the retirement of Jennifer L. Arnold; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Jennifer L. Arnold in recognition of her splendid service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and its citizens.
