ORDINANCE NO. 980843

 

Authorizing a $158,752.00 agreement with Kansas City Power and Light Company for utility relocation in connection with the N.W. 68th Street widening project and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $158,752.00 in previously appropriated funds for the project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, an agreement between the Kansas City Power and Light Company, a Missouri corporation, and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, relating to utility relocation in connection with the N.W. 68th Street widening project, located in Clay and Platte Counties, Missouri, in Council District 2, Project Nos. 1286 - Hickory to Coventry and 1287 - Coventry to Waukomis. The agreement shall essentially be in the form attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $158,752.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 99-309-089-7273-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid agreement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
