ORDINANCE NO. 140200

 

Authorizing the Director of General Services to amend a lease agreement with Creekwood Commons, LLC, for property generally located at the southwest corner of North Oak Trafficway and N.E. Englewood Road for the purpose of extending the term.

 

WHEREAS, City and North Oak Retail partnership, a Colorado general partnership (“North Oak”), entered into a Lease Agreement dated March 30, 1988 for property generally located at the southwest corner of North Oak Trafficway and N.E. Englewood Road; and

 

WHEREAS, North Oak assigned its interest in the ground lease to Creekwood Commons, LLC in May of 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, said lease is used for the monument sign for Creekwood Commons; and

 

WHEREAS, the lease is set to expire in March of 2018; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the lease by extending the term to February 28, 2028; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services is authorized to amend a lease agreement with Creekwood Commons, LLC, for property generally located at the southwest corner of North Oak Trafficway and N.E. Englewood Road for the purpose of extending the term to February 28, 2028.
