ORDINANCE NO. 940975
Amending Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City,
Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding a new section
to be known as Section 65.010A2537, rezoning an area of approximately 20 acres
generally located west of Grandview Road and south of 100th Street from
District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of
Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby
amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2537, rezoning
an area of approximately 20 acres generally located west of Grandview Road and
south of 100th Street from District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District
R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:
Section 65.010A2537. That an area legally described
as:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section
34, Township 48, Range 33, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri,
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of said
Quarter Section and 788.89 feet north of the southwest corner thereof,
thence, east and parallel to the south line of said Quarter Section a
distance of 1143.59 feet to the centerline of Grandview Road; thence,
North 1502' West along the centerline of Grandview Road, a distance of
7.57 feet; thence, North 2600' West along said centerline, a distance of
318.93 feet; thence North 807'20" West, a distance of 577.34
feet to a point which is 991.8 feet south, measured along a north and
south straight line, from the north line of said Quarter Section; thence
North 8953'10" West and parallel to the north line of said Quarter
Section; a distance of 993.0 feet to the west line of said Quarter
Section; thence, South 051' East along the west line of said Quarter
Section, a distance of 867.46 feet to the point of beginning and the
extension of said tract to the centerline of Grandview Road.
is hereby rezoned from District R-2b (Two-Family
Dwellings) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a
map marked Section 65.010A2537, which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning
maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 65.010
thereof.
Section B. That the Council finds and declares that
before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public
notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
