ORDINANCE NO. 090661

Appropriating $200,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Inmate Security Fund (No. 2760) to the Municipal Court for security improvements at the Municipal Court; and designating requisitioning authority.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Court desires to make improvements in the security system at the Municipal Court building; and

WHEREAS, over $200,000.00 remains available in the Inmate Security Fund (No. 2760) from prior years which is supported by a dedicated $2.00 fee on all City violations excluding parking; and

WHEREAS, these resources can only be used for costs associated with the security of inmates and detainees of the City; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That $200,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Inmate Security Fund to the following account in the Inmate Security Fund:

10-2760-272020-E Municipal Court Technology $200,000.00

Section 2. That the Municipal Court Administrator is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 10-2760-272020.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
