COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 051512

 

Accepting and approving a one year $5,301.00 contract amendment with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide health assessment, including evaluation for immunization status and tuberculosis of newly arriving refugees, as well as laboratory screening for hepatitis B and parasite infections; decreasing revenue in the amount of $30,475.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; increasing revenue in the amount of $27,113.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; increasing appropriations in the amount of $572.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; decreasing appropriations in the amount of $3,993.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a $5,301.00 contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, acting through its Director of Administration, to a previously accepted contract in the amount of $30,475.00, whereby the Department of Health and Senior Services will provide health assessment and immunization evaluation for newly arriving refugees in the City of Kansas City, Missouri for a period beginning July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, for a total amount not to exceed $35,776.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby reduced in the following amount:

06-2480-500000-475300 Refugee Health Screening $30,475.00

 

Section 3. That revenue in the following accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby increased in the following amounts:

 

06-2480-500001-475300 Refugee Health Screening $ 3,262.00

06-2480-500001-475300 Refugee Health Screening 23,851.00

TOTAL $27,113.00

Section 4. That appropriations in the following accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby increased in the following amounts:

 

06-2480-505408-A Refugee Health Screening $ 72.00

06-2480-505408-B Refugee Health Screening 500.00

TOTAL $ 572.00


Section 5. That appropriations in the following accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund is hereby decreased in the following amounts:

 

06-2480-505408-B Refugee Health Screening $ 500.00

06-2480-505408-C Refugee Health Screening 659.00

06-2480-505408-A Refugee Health Screening 2,774.00

$ 3,993.00

 

Section 6. That the Director of Health is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 06-2480-505408.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
