COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 070394

 

Repealing and replacing Section A of Ordinance No. 061371 and Ordinance No. 061403, for an area of approximately 18 acres generally located at the southwest corner of Wornall Road and W. 81st Street in District PD/R-4 to correct the legal description in these ordinances. (13651-P and 13651-PD-1)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section A. That Section A of Ordinance No. 061371 is hereby repealed and a new Section A is enacted, to read as follows:

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0725, rezoning an area of approximately 18 acres generally located at the southwest corner of Wornall Road and W. 81st Street from Districts R-1a (Single-Family Dwellings) and R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), said section to read as follows:

 Section 80-11A0725. That an area legally described as:

A tract of land located in the north 26 and 2/3 acres of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 48, Range 33, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri that lies east of the east line of Jefferson Street, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 18; thence North 0010'14" East on the east line of said Section 18, a distance of 443.65 feet to the southeast corner of the north 26 2/3 acres of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 18; thence North 8913'57" West, a distance of 30.00 feet to the point of beginning of the tract of land to be described; thence North 8913'57" West, a distance of 961.85 feet to a point being on the east right of way line for Jefferson Street; thence North 0000'00" East on said east right of way line for Jefferson Street, a distance of 633.70 feet; thence on a curve to the right, continuing on said east right of way line for Jefferson Street, having an initial tangent bearing of North 0000'00" East, having a radius of 434.90 feet and an arc distance of 94.19 feet; thence on a curve to the left, continuing on said east right of way line for Jefferson Street, having an initial tangent bearing of North 1224'33" East, having a radius of 484.90 feet and an arc distance of 105.16 feet to a point being on the south right of way line for 81st Street; thence South 8901'07" East on said south right of way line for 81st Street, a distance of 942.88 feet to a point being on the west right of way line for Wornall Road; thence South 0010'14" West on said west right of way line for Wornall Road, a distance of 828.23 feet to the point of beginning. Contains 797,183 square feet or 18.30 acres more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from Districts R-1a (Single-Family Dwellings) and R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0725, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

Section B. That Section A of Ordinance No. 061403 is hereby repealed and a new Section A is enacted, to read as follows:

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0726, rezoning approximately 18 acres generally located at the southwest corner of Wornall Road and W. 81st Street from District R-4 (Low Apartments) to District PD/R-4 (Planned District/Low Apartments), said section to read as follows:

  Section 80-11A0726. That an area legally described as:
