RESOLUTION NO. 960060

 

Increasing the list of the City's state legislative priorities by adding one new priority which supports state funding for the jogging trail along the ATA right of way.

 

WHEREAS, the Area Transportation Authority is contributing half of the funds necessary for the construction of a jogging trail along the ATA right of way, and the City has also contributed funds for this trail through recommendations of its Public Improvement Advisory Committee; and

 

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to further this partnership effort by receiving additional funding from the Missouri Legislature; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the City Council of Kansas City hereby adds the following state legislative priority to its list:

 

DIRECT BENEFIT TO KANSAS CITY

 

Recreation - support state funding for the jogging trail along the ATA right of way and other efforts which support stabilization of urban core neighborhoods.
