ORDINANCE NO. 051355

 

Accepting various deeds conveying to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, certain properties in Jackson County, Missouri, all for public use as part of the Downtown Arena and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance with the Jackson County Recorder's Office

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That various deeds in Jackson County, executed by the following persons, and which appear of record of the respective document number as follows:

 

  1. Lew Wallace Jacobs, IV, not individually but as Trustee of the Trust established under ITEM THIRD of the Last Will and Testament of Amelia T. Jacobs dated December 25, 1969; Document 2005K0044534, Trustees Deed

 

  1. L. W. Jacobs IV and Kelly M. Jacobs, H/W; Document 2005K0044535, Special Warranty Deed

 

  1. Janet L. Jacobs, a single person; Document 2005K0044536, Special Warranty Deed

 

  1. Julie Ann Jacobs Menees and Fred Donald Menees, H/W; Document 2005K0044537, Special Warranty Deed

Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 148, Block 11, McGee's Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof; thence South 02 18' 41" West along the southerly prolongation of the east line of said Lot 148, a distance of 12.00 feet to a point on the westerly prolongation of the south line of the north 12.00 feet of Lot I, Block 66, said McGee's Addition; thence North 87 44' 09" West along said westerly prolongation, a distance of 94.12 feet; thence South 47 26' 27" West, a distance of 53.45 feet to a point on the easterly prolongation of the south line of Lot 158, Block 12, said McGees Addition; thence North 87 33' 33" West along said prolongation, a distance of 66.00 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 158; thence North 02 18' 41" East along the east line of said Lot 158, a distance of 49.48 feet to the intersection of said east line with the westerly prolongation of the south line of Lot 148, said Block 11; thence South 87 44' 09" East along said prolongation and south line of said Lot 148, a distance 198.00 feet to the point of beginning.

All properties herein described, all being recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri, Kansas City, are hereby accepted.

 

Section 2. That upon the effective date of this ordinance the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri, as evidence of the acceptance of the herein described property by the City for public use purposes.
