ORDINANCE NO. 190060190060

 

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into a $1,323,940.80 contract with Tycon Company, LLC, for the repair of sidewalks, curbs and drive approaches along various streets generally from Missouri River South to 85th Street; authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into contract changes up to and including twenty percent (20%) of the original contract price; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Tycon Company, LLC, in the amount of $1,323,940.80 for the repair of sidewalks, curbs and drive approaches along various streets in Kansas City, Missouri, generally from the Missouri River south to 85th Street, from funds previously appropriated to Account No. AL-3519-898077-B-89060572. A copy of the contract is on file in the Public Works Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to enter into contract changes up to and including twenty percent (20%) of the original contract price for related works.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is designated requisitioning authority for Account No. AL-3519-898077.

 

Section 4. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
