RESOLUTION NO. 951409

 

Honoring Fire Department personnel who have received citations for valor, bravery or distinguished services, and citizens who have provided special service.

 

WHEREAS, the Meritorious Awards Committee of the Kansas City Fire Department grants awards for acts performed by individuals in circumstances involving extreme personal risk and Battalion Chief Rick Brisbin, Captain Michael Pusateri and Fire Fighter Michael L. Davis were given valor awards for their rescue efforts, under most precarious conditions; and

 

WHEREAS, an award is granted for acts of courage and bravery to: Kevin Cochran, Germane Friends, John Lake, Ron Olds, Michael Pusateri, Michael Wilson, Michael Cashen, Louis Catalano, William Fiorello, Ron Hudson, Norman Larkey, Everett Moore, Jeff Thomas, Ray Wynn, Dan Circo, Russell Johnson, and Rick Underhill; and

 

WHEREAS, an award is granted for meritorious acts to: Nick Charmello, Alan Hunt, Wallace Laws, Ron Martin, Larry K. McColm, Floyd Peoples, William Riley, Phillip Slatier, Ron Anderson, Michael Cashen, Gary Blair, Anton Dvorak, Mark Fennessy, Terry Hertzog, Chris Riley, Alan Williams, Harvey Wilmoth, Jack Armstrong, Michael Booth, Rick Carper, Ron Coulter, Rob Dill, Raymond Dukes, Mark Graven, Michael Jennings, Steven Marshall, Michael Palmer, Roger Rains, Roger Rhoads, Joe Sola, Roger Tuder, Mario Vazzano, Keith Williams, Stanley Williams, James Duddy, and Kevin Beck; and

 

WHEREAS, the civilians awards are granted to: John Baanders, Thomas Bair, Mary Booth, The Cambron Family, Keith Coldsnow, Dr. Richard Gist, Charles Gray, Hubbell Tyner, Inc., Elmer McCall for acts of emergency medical support, rescue, placing one's self at extreme personal risk and continued support of the Kansas City Fire Department; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby express, for themselves and on behalf of the people of Kansas City, deep and sincere appreciation for the acts of valor, bravery, and distinguished service and commend each of the honorees upon their receipt of these awards; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Council in testimony thereof, and that a copy hereof be furnished to each of the honorees, as an expression of the admiration and appreciation felt by the Mayor, Council and people of Kansas City, Missouri, for the activities and services which prompted these awards for valor, bravery and dedicated services.
