COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 921177
Approving a $227,818.00 contract with Sellers &
Marquis Roofing Co. for roof replacement, Phase I, at the Blue River Wastewater
Treatment Plant and appropriating $272,000.00 in funding therefor.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That a $227,818.00 contract between the
City of Kansas City, Missouri, through its Director of Water and Pollution
Control, and Sellers & Marquis Roofing Co. for roof replacement, Phase I,
at the Blue River Wastewater Treatment Plant is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That the sum of $272,000.00 is hereby
appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Sewer Improvement Bond
Fund, Series 1992A, and transferred to Project Account No. 815-086-7751-T.
Section 3. That the Director of Water and Pollution
Control is hereby authorized to expend up to the sum of $272,000.00
appropriated above to satisfy the cost of this contract, including changes
deemed necessary.
Section 4. That upon completion of the final costs
of this project, the Director of Finance is hereby directed to return the
unexpended portion of this appropriation to the Unappropriated Fund Balance
from which it was derived.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
