ORDINANCE NO. 090825

 

Reducing and appropriating $200,000.00 in the General Fund for special transit projects.

 

WHEREAS, Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 090450 appropriated $495,000.00 for the KC Strip/Westport Regional Business League from the General Fund; and

 

WHEREAS, the contract for the Westport Regional Business League approved by Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 090589 authorized expenditure of only $295,000.00 for the KC Strip; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to make the $200,000.00 in remaining funds available for other transit needs in the City; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That $200,000.00 is reduced from the following account in the General Fund:

 

10-1000-632018-B Special Projects $200,000.00

 

Section 2. That $200,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:

 

10-1000-891310-B Transportation Planning $200,000.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 10-1000-891310.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
