ORDINANCE NO. 070569

 

Authorizing the City Manager to execute a second amendment to the contract with Union Station Kansas City, Inc., as successor to the Kansas City Museum Association, dated June 15, 1987, for operation of the Kansas City Museum for a 6-month period, in the amount of $650,000.00 in museum levy funds estimated in the 2007-08 Fiscal Year plus the funds allocated to the Kansas City Museum from Fiscal Year 2006-07.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a second amendment to the contract with Union Station Kansas City, Inc., as successor to the Kansas City Museum Association, dated June 15, 1987, for operation of the Kansas City Museum for a 6-month period in an amount not to exceed $650,000.00, plus funds allocated to the Kansas City Museum in Fiscal Year 2007-08 but not yet paid to Union Station Kansas City, Inc. The agreement is approved in substantial form as that attached to this ordinance.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
