Reestimating revenue in the General Fund in the amount of $150,000.00 and appropriating it to the Department of Public Works for the purpose of street cut inspections.

WHEREAS, the street cut permit was raised from $22.00 to $35.00 in Fiscal Year 1998-99; and

WHEREAS, this additional revenue was used to hire additional inspectors for increased oversight and inspection, including inspectors assigned to specific utilities; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby estimated in the following additional amount:

99-100-089-5424 Street Excavations $150,000.00

Section 2. That the sum of $150,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following accounts in the General Fund:

99-100-089-2060-A Street Cuts $120,000.00

99-100-089-2060-B Street Cuts 28,000.00

99-100-089-2060-C Street Cuts 2,000.00

TOTAL $150,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
