ORDINANCE NO. 990722

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0216, rezoning an area of approximately 51.13 acres generally located at the northeast corner of N.E. Antioch Road and N.E. 80th Street from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings). (12284-P)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0216, rezoning an area of approximately 51.13 acres generally located at the northeast corner of N.E. Antioch Road and N.E. 80th Street from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0216. That an area legally described as:

 

A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of Section 7 and the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, all in Township 51, Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being bounded and described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence North 014'47" East along the east line of said Southeast Quarter, 30.00 feet to the north right of way line of N.E. 80th Street, as now established, said point being the true point of beginning of the tract to be herein described; thence continuing North 014'47" East along said east line, said line being also the east line of Bethel Acres, a subdivision of land in the City of Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, 625.88 feet to the northeast corner of said Bethel Acres; thence North 8939'39" West, along the north line of said Bethel Acres, 1291.76 feet to a point on the east right of way line of N. Antioch Road, as now established; thence North 026'51" East, along said east line, 603.95 feet; thence South 8910'59" East, parallel with the north line of said Southeast Quarter, 1289.71 feet to a point on the west line of said Southwest Quarter; thence North 014'47" East, along said west line, 129.74 feet to a point on the south right of way line of Missouri Highway No. 152, as now established; thence South 5418'26" East, along said south line, 9.52 feet; thence South 7642'31" East, along said south line, 140.11 feet; thence South 3209'10" East, 314.59 feet; thence South 5038'28" East, 314.59 feet; thence South 5038'28" East, 311.69 feet; thence South 5109'12" East, 403.08 feet; thence South 1543'12" East, 342.20 feet; thence South 3218'14" East, 337.92 feet to a point on the north right of way line of the aforementioned N.E. 80th Street; thence North 8857'30" West, along said north line, 1145.74 feet to the true point of beginning. Also all that part of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 51, Range 32, in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of said Half Quarter Section; thence South 251'06" East, along the east line of said Half Quarter Section, 1224.29 feet to its intersection with the southwesterly line of a tract of land conveyed to the State of Missouri for highway purposes by Document No. D-6867, recorded in Book 1171 at


page 249, to the point of beginning of the tract to be herein described; thence continuing South 251'06" East, along said east line, 130.75 feet; thence South 8745'19" West, parallel with the north line of said Half Quarter Section, 1289.81 feet to a point on the east line of Antioch Road (Missouri State Route J-1) as now established; thence North 239'00" West along said east line, being 30 feet east of and parallel with the west line of said Half Quarter Section, a distance of 269.62 feet to a jog in said line; thence North 8721'00" East, along said jog, 5.00 feet; thence North 239'00" West, along said east line, 300 feet to a jog in said line; thence South 8721'00" West, along said jog, 5.00 feet; thence North 239'00" West, along said east line, 127.24 feet to its intersection with said southwesterly line of the tract conveyed to the State of Missouri for highway purposes; thence South 7209'34" East, along said southwesterly line, 163.37 feet to an angle point therein; thence South 6917'49" East, along said southwesterly line, 1128.85 feet to an angle point therein; thence South 5724'57" East, along said southwesterly line, 122.32 feet to the point of beginning.

 

is hereby rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0216, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
