Rezoning an area of approximately
112.9 acres generally located on the east side of N. Green Hills Road on both
sides of proposed N.W. 76th Street from Districts RA and R-1a to District
R-1a. (13421-P-1)
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That
Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly
known as the zoning ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to
be known as Section 80-11A0656, rezoning an area of approximately 112.9 acres
generally located on the east side of N. Green Hills Road on both sides of
proposed N.W. 76th Street from Districts RA (Agricultural) and R-1a (One-Family
Dwellings, Medium Density) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings, Medium
Density), said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0656. That an area
legally described as:
All of the Southwest
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 16, Township 51 North, Range 17
West, Platte County, Missouri, and;
All that part of the
South Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 51 North, Range 17
West, Platte County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the
southwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, thence South 88
degrees 44 minutes 38 seconds East, along the south line of the Northeast
Quarter of said Section 17, 54.79 feet to the easterly right of way line of NW
Waukomis Drive and the point of beginning of the tract of land herein and
hereby described; thence continue South 88 degrees 44 minutes 38 seconds East,
along the south line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, 2527.31 feet
to the southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, thence
North 00 degrees 05 minutes 40 seconds East, along the east line of the
Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, 1323.48 feet to the northeast corner of
the South Half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17; thence North 88
degrees 33 minutes 59 seconds West, along the north line of the South Half of
the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17, 2265.44 feet; thence South 00 degrees
05 minutes 55 seconds East, 116.22 feet; thence South 52 degrees 01 minute 01
second East, 91.06 feet; thence South 03 degrees 12 minutes 47 seconds East,
248.35 feet; thence South 87 degrees 02 minutes 06 seconds West, 137.00 feet;
thence South 33 degrees 39 minutes 40 seconds West, 15.06 feet; thence South 87
degrees 05 minutes 17 seconds West, 219.41 feet to the easterly right of way
line of said NW Waukomis Drive; thence South 00 degrees 06 minutes 20 seconds
East, along the said easterly right of way line, 564.86 feet; thence
southeasterly, on a curve to the left, having a radius of 3784.83 feet, an arc
distance of 309.17 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 112.88 acres,
more or less.
is hereby rezoned from District
RA and R-1a to District R-1a, all as shown outlined on a map marked Section
80-11A0544, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is
hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part
of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.
Section B. That
the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed
amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the zoning
ordinance have been given and had.
