ORDINANCE NO. 970983

 

Reducing the appropriation by the sum of $72,859.00 in the Dangerous Building Demolition account of the Community Development Fund-Year 22; appropriating said sum to the East Meyer account of said Fund; reducing the sum of $72,589.00 in the Special Projects-CD5 account of the Capital Improvements Fund; appropriating said sum to the Building Demolition account of said Fund; and authorizing a $72,859.00 contract with East Meyer Community Association to provide funds for sewer installation.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Community Development Fund-Year 22 is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

97-265-057-2340-B Dangerous Building Demolition $72,859.00

 

Section 2. That the sum of $72,859.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Community Development Fund-Year 22, Fund No. 265, to the following account in said Fund:

 

97-265-055-2200-B East Meyer $72,859.00

 

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

98-309-089-6503-T Special Projects-CD5 $72,859.00

 

Section 4. That the sum of $72,859.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account in the Capital Improvements Fund:

 

98-309-057-6500-T Building Demolition $72,859.00

 

Section 5. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract with East Meyer Community Association, in the amount of $72,859.00, for the purpose of providing funds for the installation of sewers to be paid from funds herein appropriated to Account No. 97-265-055-2200-B, East Meyer. A copy of said contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
