Estimating and appropriating revenue in the amount of $1,600,000.00 for the Citys automated red light photo enforcement service.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 080402 on May 1, 2008, which authorized the Director of Public Works to execute a contract with American Traffic Solutions, LLC (ATS) for the purpose of providing automated red light photo enforcement services throughout the City; and

 WHEREAS, ATS has installed 29 cameras throughout the city and costs are being incurred at a rate of $4,500.00 per camera per month; NOW, THERFORE,


Section 1. That revenue in the following account is estimated in the following amount:

10-1000-272000-456150 Traffic Camera Fines $1,600,000.00

 Section 2. That $1,600,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account:

 10-1000-892025-B Red Light Cameras $1,600,000.00


I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
