ORDINANCE NO. 980766

 

Authorizing a one year $220,764.00 contract with Hospital Hill Health Service Corporation to provide a medical director for the Citys emergency medical services program and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and Hospital Hill Health Service Corporation, acting through its officer of executory authority, to provide a medical director for the Citys emergency medical services program, for the period of May 1, 1998 through April 30, 1999, for an amount not to exceed $220,764.00, from funds previously appropriated in Account Nos. 99-100-050-1140-B ($125,378.00) and 99-100-023-2000-B ($95,386.00), is hereby authorized. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That this ordinance, making provisions for the expenditure of funds in connection with preservation of the public health, is hereby recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 15, Article II of the Charter of Kansas City, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
