Authorizing a $412,614.00 contract with Legal Aid of Western Missouri for representation to the indigent.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services, on behalf of the City, is authorized to execute a contract with Legal Aid of Western Missouri to provide legal representation to indigent residents of Kansas City, Missouri, in an amount not to exceed $412,614.00 from funds heretofore appropriated in the 1994-95 City Budget to Account No. 95-100-057- 2230-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
