ORDINANCE NO. 980408

 

Reestimating revenue in the amount of $500,000.00; appropriating $500,000.00 to various accounts in the General Fund; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

 

98-100-025-6501 Building Permit and Inspection Fees $500,000.00

 

Section 2. That the sum of $500,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following accounts in the General Fund:

 

98-100-025-1000-B Codes Administration - Administration $150,000.00

98-100-025-1000-E Codes Administration - Administration 200,000.00

98-100-025-2015-B ADAPT 2000 City Wide Permit System 150,000.00

TOTAL $500,000.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of Codes Administration is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 98-100-025-2015.

 

Section 4. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to reappropriate the unexpended and unencumbered balances of appropriations in the following accounts to the same accounts on May 1, 1998 for the 1998-99 fiscal year: 100-025-1000-B, 100-025-1000-E and 100-025-2015-B.

 

Section 5. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter and takes effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
