ORDINANCE NO. 020285

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0412, rezoning an area of approximately 2.15 acres generally located on the north side of N.E. 48th Street approximately 700 feet west of N.E. Randolph Road from District C-2 (Local Retail Business) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings). (11796-P-2)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0412, rezoning an area of approximately 2.15 acres generally located on the north side of N.E. 48th Street approximately 700 feet west of N.E. Randolph Road from District C-2 (Local Retail Business) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:

Section 80-11A0412. That an area legally described as:

 

A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 51 North, Range 32 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of the South One-Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Southeast Quarter; thence South 89E26'52" East along the north line of the South One-Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Southeast Quarter, a distance of 154.21 feet; thence South 00E33'08" West, a distance of 167.72 feet; thence South 00E51'11" West, a distance of 429.85 feet to a point on the north right of way line of N.E. 48th Street; thence along said north right of way line, on a curve to the right, having a radius of 2,904.79 feet, an initial tangent bearing of South 86E39'46" West and an arc distance of 155.87 feet to the east line of Greenwood, according to the recorded plat thereof; thence North 00E51'11" East along said east line, a distance of 612.31 feet to the point of beginning. Contains 93,633 square feet or 2.15 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District C-2 (Local Retail Business) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0412, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
