ORDINANCE NO. 980603

 

Authorizing an $88,030.00 Third Supplement to Agreement No. 900632 with Harrington & Cortelyou, Inc., Consulting Engineers relating to engineering services in connection with the Chouteau Bridge Replacement; reducing appropriations in the amount of $15,220.00 in the Capital Improvement Fund; appropriating it to various accounts in the Capital Improvement Fund; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $88,030.00 in funds appropriated herein for the project; and appropriating $220.00 to the Youth Employment Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, a Third Supplement to Agreement No. 900632 between Harrington & Cortelyou, Inc., Consulting Engineers and Kansas City, Missouri, relating to engineering services in connection with the Chouteau Bridge Replacement over the Missouri River, in three phases: The engineer will provide service for Phase B: Preliminary and Final Engineering Design (additional engineering design services, Project No. 5352, and park design, Project No. 2696), in Kansas City, Missouri, Council District 1. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvement Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

99-309-089-7217-T Chouteau Bridge Replacement over Missouri River $15,220.00

 

Section 3. That the sum of $15,220.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to the following accounts in the Capital Improvement Fund:

 

99-309-089-7226-T Chouteau Commemorative Park $15,000.00

99-309-012-9089-B Transfer to Youth Employment Fund 220.00

TOTAL $15,220.00

 

Section 4. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $88,030.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to the following accounts as and for consideration in the aforesaid Third Supplement to Agreement No. 900632:

 

99-309-089-7226-T Chouteau Commemorative Park $50,000.00

99-309-089-7217-T Chouteau Bridge Replacement over Missouri River 38,030.00

TOTAL $88,030.00

 

Section 5. That the revenue in the following account of the Youth Employment Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

 

99-244-089-9202 Transfer from Capital Improvement Fund $ 220.00


Section 6. That the sum of $220.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Youth Employment Fund to the following account in the Youth Employment Fund:

 

99-244-089-7004-T Quarter Percent for Youth Employment Fund $ 220.00

 

Section 7. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer $220.00 from the Capital Improvement Fund to the Youth Employment Fund.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
