ORDINANCE NO. 110239
Authorizing the Director of
General Services to execute a revocable easement document to Kansas City Power
and Light (KCP&L) granting real estate rights for utility installation
purposes on the West side of the City property at 1001 NW Barry Rd, Council
District 2, all in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, and directing the City
Clerk to record this ordinance.
WHEREAS, a
portion of property owned by the City is needed by KCP&L for the
construction and maintenance of utility service to City property in the City of
Kansas City, Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1.
That the Director of General Services is hereby authorized to execute a
revocable utility easement document to KCP&L on a portion of City property
for utility purposes as described below:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
A 10 feet wide strip
of land, being all that part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 10, Township
51 North, Range 33 West, in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, the centerline
of said strip of land being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing from the
Northeast corner of said Southeast Quarter; thence North 89 degrees 29 minutes
and 17 seconds West along the North line of said Southeast Quarter, a distance
of 1965.18 feet; thence South 00 degrees 30 minutes 43 seconds West,
perpendicular to the last described course, a distance of 359.16 feet to and
existing electric transformer and the Point of Beginning of the centerline of
said strip of land to be described herein; thence South 28 degrees 24 minutes
20 seconds West a distance of 123.80 feet; thence South 00 degrees 29 minutes
43 seconds West a distance of 84.90 feet to the Point of Termination of the
centerline of said strip of land. Said strip of land contains 2,087 square feet
or 0.05 acres more or less.
Section
2. That upon the effective date of this ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby
directed to cause this ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Recorder
of Deeds for Clay County, Missouri.
