ORDINANCE NO. 020223

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0400, rezoning an area of approximately 8.38 acres generally located approximately 1,000 feet north of 27th Street and on the west side of Blue Ridge Boulevard from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District M-2a (Heavy Industry). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0400, rezoning an area of approximately 8.38 acres generally located approximately 1,000 feet north of 27th Street and on the west side of Blue Ridge Boulevard from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District M-2a (Heavy Industry), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0400. That an area legally described as:

 

All that part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 49 North, Range 32 West, more fully described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; thence South 86E53'41" East along the north line of said Quarter Quarter of said Section 8, a distance of 847.35 feet; thence North 03E15'34" West, a distance of 285.72 feet; thence South 86E53'41" East, a distance of 106.72 feet to the west right of way line of Blue Ridge Boulevard; thence South 05E14'38" East along said west right of way line a distance of 496.21 feet to a point of curve; thence in a southeasterly direction along said west right of way and along a curve to the right, being tangent to the last described course and having a radius of 2824.90 feet, an arc distance of 131.85 feet to a point on the south line of Lot 1, Subdivision of Fogel Estates, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; thence North 86E57'38" West along said south line a distance of 1002.39 feet to a point on the west line of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence North 01E43'37" East along the west line of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 8, a distance of 339.10 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 8.376 acres more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District M-2a (Heavy Industry), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0400, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 


Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
