ORDINANCE NO. 160218

 

Authorizing a $5,626,220.00 construction contract with Kissick Construction Company, Inc., for the Arrowhead Transmission Main – Phase 3 (N. Oak Trafficway to Highway 169) Project; authorizing a $220,000.00 design professional services contract Amendment No. 2 with Black & Veatch Corporation for the Arrowhead Transmission Main – Phase 3 (N. Oak Trafficway to Highway 169) Project; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Contract No. 9046 in the amount of $5,626,220.00 with Kissick Construction Company, Inc., for the Arrowhead Transmission Main – Phase 3 (N. Oak Trafficway to Highway 169) Project, Project No. 80001652.  A copy of this contract is on file in the office of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $6,200,000.00 from Account No. AL-8075-807707-B-611060-80001652, Transmission Mains-16” & Lgr, to satisfy the cost of this construction contract.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 8866 in the amount of $220,000.00 with Black & Veatch Corporation for the Arrowhead Transmission Main – Phase 3 (N. Oak Trafficway to Highway 169) Project, Project No. 80001652.  A copy of this amendment is on file in the office of Water Services.

 

Section 4. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $220,000.00 from Account No. AL-8074-807707-B-611040-80001652, Transmission Mains-16” & Lgr, to satisfy the cost of this Design Professional Services contract amendment.

 

Section 5. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503, City Charter.
