ORDINANCE NO. 981413

 

Accepting various easements and deeds in Jackson, Clay and Platte Counties; releasing various easements in Jackson County; and directing the City Clerk to record the acceptance.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That various easements in Kansas City, Jackson County, executed by the following persons, and which appear of record as the instrument numbers and respective books and pages as follows:

Section 4. That the legal descriptions for such properties listed in Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 are set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 5. That the following described lots, tracts, or parcels of land lying, being and situate in the County of Jackson, and the State of Missouri: All that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of Section 18, Township 48 Range 33, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, being a continuous strip of land 15 feet wide and lying between lines drawn parallel with and 7.5 feet on either side of the following described center line: Beginning at a point on a line drawn parallel with and 285.45 feet South of the North line of said Section 18, which point is 92.5 feet East of the East line of Washington Street, as now established; thence North, parallel with said East line, 53.5 feet; thence East, parallel with the North line of said Section 18, 35.5 feet be and the same is hereby released to HTW Investment Partners, Inc., and the Director of Water Services, if so requested, is authorized to execute a quit-claim deed to the present owners, their successors or assigns as further evidence thereof.

 

Section 6. That the sanitary easement dedicated on the plat of Watts Mill Plaza by Ordinance No. 58417, passed August 29, 1985, and described as follows: A 15.00 foot strip of land lying 7.5 feet each side of the following described centerline in Lot 2, Watts Mill Plaza, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, said centerline being described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot 2, thence south 87 degrees 17 minutes 03 seconds east along the north line of said Lot 2 a distance of 18.00 feet; thence south 81 degrees 00 minutes 13 seconds east a distance of 7.81 feet to the true point of beginning and centerline of the 15.00 foot easement; thence south 48 degrees 03 minutes 29 seconds east a distance of 139.33 feet to a point of terminus, be and the same is hereby released to its present owners, their heirs and assigns and the Director of Public Works, if so requested, is authorized to execute a quit-claim deed to the present owners, their successors or assigns, as further evidence thereof.

 

Section 6. That upon the effective date of this ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this ordinance to be recorded in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas City and Independence, for Clay County, Missouri, at Liberty, and for Platte County, Missouri, at Platte City.
