ORDINANCE NO. 140249

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into an approximately $1,420,000.00 contract with Blue Nile Contractors for the construction of a 24-Inch Water Main Extension along N. Eastern Avenue from Shoal Creek Parkway to N.E. 106th Street.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute Contract No. 8977, Project No. 80001654, with Blue Nile Contractors, in the amount of $1,419,487.00 for the construction of a 24-inch water main extension along N. Eastern Avenue from Shoal Creek Parkway to N.E. 106th Street, located in Clay County, Kansas City, Missouri. 

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $1,560,000.00, from Account No. AL-8073-807707-B-611060, Transmission Mains-16” & Lgr, to satisfy the costs of this project.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
