ORDINANCE NO. 041378

Authorizing a $307,216.00 contract amendment with Truman Medical Center to provide medical and psychiatric services to inmates at the Municipal Correctional Institution.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services Department is hereby authorized to execute a contract amendment with Truman Medical Center to provide medical and psychiatric services to inmates at the Municipal Correctional Institution, in the amount of $307,216.00 for a total contract amount of $797,905.00 and to extend the term of the contract through April 30, 2005, to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No 05-1000-572210-B. The contract amendment is approved, in substantial form, as that on file with the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
