ORDINANCE NO. 001578

 

Authorizing the purchase of property located at 11102 Sunny Slope Drive for future public use; authorizing acceptance of the deed to the property; and authorizing expenditure of previously appropriated funds in the amount of $51,500.00.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to purchase the property located at 11102 Sunny Slope Drive in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, for future public use and to pay as consideration and closing costs therefore up to the sum of $51,500.00. The legal description of the property to be purchased is as follows:

 

Lot 18, except the west 56.4 feet thereof, Block 2, Kings Hickman Orchards, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend up to the sum of $51,500.00 from Account No. 01-100-089-7726-T as consideration for the purchase and closing costs, provided that the Director shall deliver the same to the sellers upon receipt of a Deed in due form conveying to Kansas City good and merchantable title to the property and authorizes exercise of the Option to Purchase and authorizing acceptance of the Deed to the property.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
