RESOLUTION NO. 951488

 

Congratulating the 1995 Kansas City Power and Light Company Lineman's Rodeo Team which won first place in the "Investor Owned Utility" Division and first place "Overall" at the 12th Annual International Lineman's Rodeo held at Kansas City, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, the 12th Annual International Lineman's Rodeo was held September 23, 1995, in Kansas City, Missouri; and

 

WHEREAS, one hundred sixty-seven teams from the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the United Kingdom competed in the events which demonstrated lineman skills; and

 

WHEREAS, the Kansas City Power and Light Company team of Ray Hugunin, Lance Midyett and Paul White placed first among all the competing teams in the "Investor Owned Utility" Division and "Overall"; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby offer their heartiest congratulations to the 1995 Kansas City Power and Light Company Lineman's Rodeo Team on the occasion of their first place win in the "Investor Owned Utility" Division and "Overall" at the recent 12th International Annual Lineman's Rodeo in Kansas City, Missouri; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof, and that copies hereof be presented to the Kansas City Power and Light Company and to the 1995 Lineman's Rodeo Team members Ray Hugunin, Lance Midyett, and Paul White in token of the Mayor and Council's appreciation for this graphic demonstration of their technical skills which reflects highly on their employer and the City of Kansas City.
