ORDINANCE NO. 960135

Authorizing execution of a Personal Services Contract with Judy B. Swanson for the provision of planning services for the Westside Plan for a period of one (1) year for $26,312.00 plus $2,013.00 for FICA payment.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a Personal Services Contract with Judy B. Swanson for a contract amount of $26,312.00 to assist in the coordination of all public and private efforts in preparation of a Westside Plan and to expend $2,013.00 for payment of FICA for said contract. A copy of said contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to expend funds from the following account for work to be performed under the aforesaid contract:

95-263-055-2281-B Housing Strategy Planning $28,325.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
