ORDINANCE NO. 110422

 

Amending Section 2-49, Code of Ordinances, entitled “Order of succession of elected officials” to correctly reflect the name of the Planning, Zoning and Economic Development Committee.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Section 2-49, Code of Ordinances, entitled “Order of succession of elected officials” is amended to read as follows:

 

Sec. 2-49. Order of succession of elected officials.

 

If there is no mayor or if the mayor is out of the city or otherwise incapacitated, the mayor pro tem, chair of the finance, governance & ethics committee, chair of the transportation & infrastructure committee, chair of the planning, zoning and economic development committee, chair of the public safety & emergency services committee, and the chair of the neighborhoods & healthy communities committee shall, in that order of succession, act as mayor until the mayor resumes the duties of the office or until that office is filled in accordance with the city Charter and state law.
