ORDINANCE NO. 970791

 

Amending the General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, by changing the land use designation from General Transient Retail Business and General Industrial to Medium Density Residential Uses for approximately a 72 acre tract of land generally located on the north side of N.W. Cookingham Drive, approximately 350 feet west of N. Congress Avenue/N.W. Interurban Road (west of Ferrelview). (247-S-53)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That the General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, is hereby amended by changing the land use designation from General Transient Retail Business and General Industrial to Medium Density Residential Uses for approximately a 72 acre tract of land generally located on the north side of N.W. Cookingham Drive, approximately 350 feet west of N. Congress Avenue/N.W. Interurban Road (west of Ferrelview), and more specifically described as follows:

 

A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter and the Southwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 52, Range 34, Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, being described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the west line of Ferrelview, a subdivision of land in Platte County, Missouri, and the northerly right of way line of Missouri Route 291, as now established; thence North 89 25'53" West, along said northerly right of way line, 193.85 feet; thence North 54 42'46" West, along said northerly right of way line, 108.16 feet; thence North 16 52'02" West, along said northerly right of way line, 262.98 feet; thence North 44 35'28" West, along said northerly right of way line, 253.85 feet; thence North 54 48'26" West, along said northerly right of way line, 255.20 feet; thence North 71 44'14" West, along said northerly right of way line, 185.89 feet; thence North 82 57'51" West, along said northerly right of way line, 568.22 feet to its intersection with the west line of the east 72.5 acres of the west 145 acres of said Southwest Quarter; thence North 0 22'49" East, along said west line, 1867.46 feet to a point on the north line of said Southwest Quarter; thence South 89 25'53" East, along the north line of said Southwest Quarter and said Southeast Quarter, 1490.77 to the west line of said Ferrelview; thence South 0 22'49" West, along said west line, 2624.46 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 71.24 acres more or less. Excepted tract herein described: A tract of land lying partially in the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 52, Range 34, Platte County, Missouri, and lying partially in the Southwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 52, Range 34, Platte County, Missouri, being more accurately described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east line of the southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 13, as measured along said east line; thence North 89 36'05" West, 231.17 feet; thence North 0 16'49" East, 300.00 feet; thence South 89 36'05" East, 233.67 feet, to a point on the east line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 13; thence South 89 36'05" East, on a continuation of the last described course 16.33 feet to a point in the west line of the City of Ferrelview, as the same is now located; thence South 0 16'49" West, along the west line of the city of the City of Ferrelview, 300.00 feet; thence North 89 36'05" West, 18.83 feet to the point of beginning.

 

All as shown outlined on a map marked General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as part of an amendment to the aforesaid plan and as an amendment to Section 80-206.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
