ORDINANCE NO. 140142

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into a $2,000,000.00 contract with Leath and Sons, Inc. for the Wastewater Collections Supplemental Work Force Contract – FY14.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute Contract No. 1104, Project No. 60810027, with Leath and Sons, Inc., in the amount of $2,000,000.00 for the Wastewater Collections Supplemental Work Force Contract – FY14, located in Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte Counties, Kansas City, Missouri. 

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $2,000,000.00, from Account No. 14-8110-802040-B-619060, Maint Div-Swr Repair, to satisfy the costs of this project.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to execute two successive $3,000,000.00 renewal options for this contract without additional Council approval with such funds as appropriated by the Council in future annual budgets.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
