ORDINANCE NO. 970022
Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of
Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding
a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0019, rezoning an area of
approximately 18 acres generally located on the west side of Blue Ridge
Boulevard, approximately 200 feet south of 23rd Street Trafficway, from
District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District M-2a-p (Heavy Industry -
Limited District), and approving a preliminary plan for the same. (8587-P-3)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of
the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning
Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section
80-11A0019, rezoning an area of approximately 18 acres generally located on
the west side of Blue Ridge Boulevard, approximately 200 feet south of 23rd
Street Trafficway, from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District M-2a-p
(Heavy Industry - Limited District), said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0019. That an area legally described
as:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 49, Range 32 beginning at a point
at the southwest corner of said Quarter Quarter , thence east 847.35 feet,
thence north 287 feet, thence east 150 feet to the centerline of Blue
Ridge Boulevard, thence northwesterly along said centerline 520 feet,
thence west 909.16 feet, thence south 800.19 feet to the point of
beginning, except that part in Blue Ridge Boulevard, all within Kansas
City, Jackson County, Missouri.
is hereby rezoned from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings)
to District M-2a-p (Heavy Industry - Limited District), all as shown outlined
on a map marked Section 80-11A0019, which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning
maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11
thereof.
Section B. That a preliminary plan for the area
legally described above is hereby approved. A copy of said preliminary plan is
on file in the office of the City Clerk under Document No. 970022, which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section C. That the Council finds and declares that
before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public
notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
