ORDINANCE NO. 970166

Reducing certain appropriations by the sum of $28,000.00 in various Grand Boulevard accounts of the Capital Improvements Fund; authorizing certain transfers; estimating and appropriating the sum of $28,000.00 to the City Market Operations account; and authorizing execution of a First Amended Cooperative Agreement with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority, increasing the contract amount by $28,000.00 for a total amount of $160,000.00, for City Market operations.

WHEREAS, the City Market Property Manager has identified certain tenant improvements in the City Market which will result in increased revenues sufficient to amortize the cost of the improvements; and

WHEREAS, the City Market Oversight Committee met on October 1, 1996, and recommended funding these improvements; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby reduced as follows:

97-309-064-7000-T Grand Boulevard Development $14,000.00

Section 2. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby reduced as follows:

97-309-064-6202 Grand Avenue Streetscape, Second District $14,000.00

Section 3. That the sum of $28,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account:

97-309-012-9001-B Transfer to General Fund $28,000.00

Section 4. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer $28,000.00 from the Capital Improvements Fund to the General Fund.

Section 5. That revenues in the amount of $28,000.00 are hereby estimated in the following account of the General Fund:

97-100-012-9202 Transfer from Capital Improvements Fund $28,000.00

Section 6. That the sum of $28,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account in the General Fund:

97-100-064-2501 City Market Operations $28,000.00

Section 7. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a First Amended Cooperative Agreement with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority, which increases the contract amount by $28,000.00 for a total amount of $160,000.00 for City Market operations. A copy of said First Amended Cooperative Agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.
