ORDINANCE NO. 980772

 

Accepting various easements and deeds in Jackson, Clay and Platte Counties; releasing a sewer easement in Clay County, Missouri; and directing the City Clerk to record the acceptance.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That various deeds in Kansas City, Jackson County, executed by the following persons, and which appear of record as the instrument numbers and respective books and pages as follows:

 

1. General Warranty Deed from Old Northeast, Inc., Instrument No. K12038, book K3157, page 1531;

 

2. General Warranty Deed from Old Northeast, Inc., Instrument No. K12039, book K3157, page 1533;

 

3. General Warranty Deed from Old Northeast, Inc., Instrument No. K12040, book K3157, page 1535;

 

all recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas City, are hereby accepted.

Section 5. That the legal descriptions for such properties listed in Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 are set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 6. That the Storm Drainage Easement recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Clay County, Missouri, at Liberty, as Document No. N41109, Book 2677, Page 591; a tract of land over part of the southeast quarter of Section 11, Township 51, Range 32, in the City of Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of said Section 11; thence south 8918'53" east, along the north line of the southwest quarter of said Section 11, a distance of 2579.13 feet, to the center of said Section 11; thence south 0027'07" west, along the west line of the southeast quarter of said Section 11, a distance of 41509 feet; thence south 8932'53" east, a distance of 9.27 feet, to the point of beginning; thence continuing south 8932'53" east, a distance of 20.00 feet; thence south 0027'07" west, a distance of 25.21 feet; thence south 4912'49" east, a distance of 53.64 feet; thence south 0127'51" west, a distance of 48.70 feet; thence north 8835'25" west, a distance of 15.00 feet; thence north 0127'51" east, a distance of 41.62 feet; thence north 4912'49" west, a distance of 33.80 feet; thence south 0027'07" west, a distance of 5.00 feet; thence north 8932'53" west, a distance of 20.00 feet; thence north 0027'07" east, a distance of 49.89 feet, to the point of beginning, containing 2,330.9 square feet, more or less, be and the same is hereby released to its present owners, their heirs and assigns and the Director of Public Works, if so requested, is authorized to execute a quit-claim deed to the present owners, their successors or assigns, as further evidence thereof.

Section 7. That upon the effective date of this ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this ordinance to be recorded in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas City and Independence, Clay County, Missouri, at Liberty, and for Platte County, Missouri, at Platte City, respectively.
